Aylmerton Nature Diary

Friday 7th August

I went up to open up the poly tunnel this morning and as I got to the the allotments, a single Swift drifted over – one of the last local juveniles I’m guessing. Also on the allotments, Red-legged Partridge, a Blackcap ‘chipping’ in the hedge and a pair of Stock Dove on the new plough. On my return home I was pleased to see a young Starling, feeding on my nut feeders – the first Starling I’ve had in the garden for absolutely ages.
