A walk out between showers produced little by way of change in the park. Very few small birds in evidence but a flock of 30 Siskin in the Alders by the lake was of interest. There was a Marsh Tit calling in the woods near the viewing screen and a Little Owl was sat out in a Hawthorn by the outflow. It took me a while to find the Great Crested Grebe, which seems pretty happy in, what I’m sure will only be, it’s temporary residence. The Tufted Duck flock remains at about 35, with a dozen Gadwall, two Teal, two Wigeon and a couple of Little Grebe also present.
