I forgot to include this orchid photo taken at Felbrigg Park the other day

Been busy of late, so no time for walks around the parish. I did have a very useful meeting with a representative from Norfolk Wildlife Trust on Friday, regarding technical advice about installing the reed filter bed and board-walk – work that is scheduled for late September. On my way to and from the pond I noticed that the House Martins on the house at the end of the road are doing well – there seems to be three, possibly four, active nests with youngsters. They’re so lucky, the owners that is, and the birds as well I guess! The birds are still going mad on the garden feeders, I’m having to fill them up on a daily basis at the moment. Another meeting yesterday afternoon to finish off collating the data from the Felbrigg Park Breeding Bird Survey. There are going to be some interesting findings, once the report is completed – watch this space!
