A rather battered Painted Lady

I had a meeting in Gresham this morning so decided to walk, via Felbrigg park, and returning home along the road. Not a lot about but I was pleasantly surprised to hear a Curlew calling over the rough grazing meadow, below the dam – I never actually got to see it. This is my second record in as many weeks. There were very few dragonflies about but I did see a small Skipper of some description – either Small or Essex, which managed to do a disappearing act before I could fully identify it.

On the way home a semi-albino Woodpigeon caught my eye
