This photo, taken recently in Felbrigg Park, is a reminder that autumn is only just around the corner!

I’ve not managed to get around the patch myself this week but Lee, who lives in the village, tells me that there’s been a few bits and pieces around. Sparrowhawk carrying prey over The Street and Barn Owl hunting by the pond, Yellow Hammer along Red Barn Lane, and a good mix of the usual stuff in the park, including both species of woodpecker, Nuthatch, Bullfinch & Little Owl. The lake hosted Kingfisher and a migrant Common Sandpiper. Other autumn migrants noted included Willow Warbler, Whitethroat and Blackcap.
