Male Wheatear, near the Stone Cross – first for the parish this year

I was on my way to Gresham yesterday evening when, as I passed the newly planted potato field east of the road before the stone cross, I noticed the familiar upright stance of a Wheatear, on the grassy ‘island’ of set-aside. It was still present mid-morning today.
