Late departing Fieldfare, Felbrigg Park

Yesterday morning there was an interesting example of the change in seasons – on the rough grazing meadow, south of the lake, five Wheatear (summer visitors) and five Fieldfare (late departing winter visitors). Later, on my way back from Cromer, I spotted an interesting corpse by the side of the A149, by the edge of the Great Wood. I turned the car round and retrieved a relatively fresh Tawny Owl, which had obviously been hit by a vehicle. Such a shame.
